How to use those notes

This is not a manual but a collection of notes. This is not exhaustive.

When I was listening to the Rave cartography course, I started to collect all those parenting quotes related to lines and profiles. They are some generalized principles that Ra doesn’t repeat or explain for each line.

For that reason, it can be very enlightening if you want a full picture to read the other sections with each line similar to the profile you’re interested in, especially if some specifics are confusing.

Also note this is not at all all there is to say about each line or profile, only the excerpts that were specific to parenting. If you want to know more, the whole profile section of the course is an excellent foundation.

Everything in quotes is verbatim from the course, what’s not and in between brackets are personal notes.

Finally, those are guidelines based on the mechanics. They need to be adapted depending on other mechanics (like type). And of course, as an ally for the child, the adult who is following their own Startegy and Authority will be much more beneficial to them.

And of course, Ra’s style is a bit dramatic. He talks about ideal situations. Especially if the experiment just started for you and your child, don’t take those guidelines as absolutes, it’s more important that you and your child both follow your Strategy and Authority than to do those things perfectly. This is an experiment, not a competition or evaluation of your parenting skills. But your mind will probably treat them as such. It’s lying.
