The benefits of sleeping alone - A collection of quotes & notes

In the context of Human Design, when it comes to having a healthy regenerative sleep that protects your immune system and longevity, only 3 things will make a real difference : sleeping alone, honoring your Type sleep strategy (what that post is about), and eating according to your Determination (more on that over here).

The Law of Privacy

When I teach people to sleep in their own bed in their own room to be safe within the confines of their own aura, it is that very privacy that allows them to come in contact with their own nature and to avoid conditioning that is unnecessary.”

Taking in the other’s frequency

“But the reality is that, you know, the separate bedroom is one of the bedrocks of our teaching. It is something that I mentioned in every reading that I ever did. You know, this is one of the basic keys you need to you need to be able to clean your aura. If you're a Generator on the Generator path, you know, and you're getting into bed with somebody who's not self and who is not, operating correctly. You're taking all of that frequency in your body, you're putting your frequency into them. And you know, and there are so many things that go wrong in all of that it's so important to go to sleep in your own aura to wake up in your own aura and to enter into whatever the bonds are, that are around you to enter into those bonds correctly.”

Clean consciousness and body

“One of the first things to understand about your consciousness is that it is never going to be clear. If you are sleeping with somebody else, it just doesn't work. You know, it is one of the most important things to understand about the integrity of you know, who you are, is that you need to sleep in your own aura.

And this is something that from the very first moment that I went public, I have been telling people over and over and over again, because it is a bedrock of the beginning of healing, you cannot heal yourself, you cannot find yourself, you could not see correctly, you cannot be correct. If you are constantly polluting your aura while you are unconscious. And it is pollution, it doesn't matter whether they're people you love or not, it's not the point.

It's the point of understanding how susceptible we are to conditioning. And that if you're experiencing sleep, and you're experiencing it in the aura of the other, you do not wake up yourself, you do not wake up clear, and it has not benefited you. Worse than that it affects the energy system in your vehicle.

You know, I'm unemotional. And in the early part of my life in, in early relationships, I had emotional partners because it was attractive. That was the difference. And I slept with it because that's what people did, you know, you slept in a bed together. And it was horrendous for me. And it's only you know, many, many years later, when I look back at that process, that part of my life, that I understood how distorted my energy would be in the mornings, you know, I'd be carrying all of this residue of the emotional conditioning that had been put inside of me while I was sleeping and if my partner happened to have a bad night or a bad dream or whatever, you know, the high level of whatever adrenaline I have an open root, I have three open motors, I was taking enormous amounts of energy from my partners and wasn't wasn't physically feeling right. The source of so many diseases

“The whole sleeping pattern of human beings is something that's so out of whack. Aside from the fact that it's only recently, when I say recently, the last couple of 100 years, that there's been enough generalized wealth in the world that individual residences, individual rooms for the general public, individual rooms for children, this is something that, you know, for most of human history was something that only the leaders of tribes could afford, or the very, very wealthy could afford. So it's a real revolution, this revolution of space.

And the more integrity we give to that more importance we give to that, the healthier we're all going to be and sleep is one of these things, it's just a part of that, you know, if you don't go correctly into your own space, when it's right for you, you know, to go into sleep, if you're not alone, and you know, then then it's going to have a very deep impact on your physical system. And most of the things that people suffer from as what appear to be daytime illnesses and problems and aches and pains and, you know, all the various hip cliched diseases that emerge all the time. The vast majority of this is simply sleep oriented.”

Every night a new opportunity to align with our nature

“And every night is you go to sleep, you know, the programme tries to align you to your purpose, tries to align you to the acceptance of the environment, tries to get you there, you know, and, of course, all of these things working together the light field on this side and the demon realm on this side, and ultimately, the earth plane, you know, integrating the actual existential experience of humanity into the sleeping consciousness.”

We get a chance every night to get a little bit realigned with our nature, and sleeping with someone else challenges that chance in a way we have no way to be fully aware of.

Protecting our aura and getting an opportunity to be ourselves

“Now, of course, this leads me to one of those things that you know, is at the very basis of human design, sleep, in your own bed, in your own room. You know, there is nothing more important at a practical level than I can tell you.

It is something to really grasp. It's if you have a partner, it's not about sex or love. It has nothing to do with that. You don't make love while you're asleep. I mean, you don't have conversations while you're asleep. You know, you don't deal with things while you're asleep. You Sleep, sleep in your own aura.

First of all, it's the only way that you're ever going to tell whether you have a relationship that you really enjoy. If you're sleeping in the same aura as your partner, you're not yourself, and neither are they. You're the beast with two backs, you're the thing that becomes something else because of the two of you coming together partnership, it’s not you.

Not only that, but while you're sleeping, you're deeply vulnerable. You know, I can remember, if you sleep, I'm non emotional, when I sleep with somebody who's emotional and they have a bad dream, I get the poison. When I'm sleeping for God's sake, I don't need that shit while I'm sleeping. I mean, come on, I gotta wake up with it in the morning.

You sleep in your own bed, you wake up in the morning, you wake up as yourself.

You open the door, and there's somebody there, it's really interesting. Because you get to meet again, you get to re-connect. There is a difference in enormous difference.

The other thing is that if you don't sleep in your own aura, you can't give your body a break. It's constantly dealing with all the stuff. And by the way, it’s not something Catholic it doesn't mean that you can’t end up sleeping together one night, you know, that kind of thing, it isn’t about that. It's about understanding fundamentally what it means to be able to protect your aura, because you need to protect your aura. Me, I haven't slept in a bed with somebody in over 20 years. It's not like I missed anything. I was asleep. But I got to wake up every morning as myself. Clean, you know? And so when I step out into my world, I reconnect to it as myself.

So if you're Non sacral being particularly, you really need to protect your aura, especially if you’re a Projector, you really need to protect your aura. Now the only people that really ever have a problem about sleeping in their own bed is men.

You know, I've dealt with enough of this over the years, it's men, you know, because they think they're losing an opportunity for a sexual encounter. Right? To get into the same bed, sex is always possible, right? Okay. But you know, do me a favor, do it before you go to bed, it’s nice, you know, try mornings or something, do something different. But don't feel threatened because you don't sleep in the same bed as your partner because there is no threat.

The other thing is, if you do it, and you experiment with it, I'm just speaking to men. God you have never do it any other way. It's so nice to have your own room. It's so nice to wake up in your own bed. It's so nice to be able to do the occasional natural things that human beings do without anybody there or to experience them. I get tired of people snoring smelling… you know, it is really nice, to be in your own room, in your own bed.

Get up in the morning and deal with the world as yourself. Human Design is for the individual. It's about you loving yourself. If you don't love yourself, you can't love anybody. Anyway, that's all a joke. It's all dependency and hooks. Love yourself. If you're not ready to be selfish in an enlightened way, you're not going to get your life, you’re not.

And it isn't something that's there to interfere with what's possible in this life in relationships or whatever this afternoon, show you what that means. It isn't, but it's about the integrity of your aura, you've got to protect your aura. It's so sensitive. So if you've got this open sacral and you don't know when enough is enough, you end up with all of the problems that come with that the fatigue, the exhaustion, the psychological problems, all of them, and you don't have a sense of who you are. Because you're never giving yourself an opportunity to just be you.”
